Nació en Shropshire, entró al Colegio Alemán, [[Roma]] el 1 de octubre de 1571.  Fue  ordenado (v. [[Orden Sagrado]]) [[sacerdote]] en  [[Bruselas]], del Colegio Inglés, [[Douai]], en abril de 1576, salió inmediatamente para  [[Inglaterra]].  Después de un [[peregrinaje]] a Roma en 1579 regresó a Inglaterra en 1580, y fue encarcelado en el presidio Poultry Counter el 12 de julio, de donde fue transferido a la Torre el 5 de diciembre.  El 16 de diciembre fue terriblemente torturado y tirado a un calabozo subterráneo.  Fue traído al tribunal de justicia el 14 de noviembre, y condenado el 20 de noviembre.

Beato Robert Johnson: Mártir inglés; nació en Shropshire; entró al Colegio Alemán, Roma, el 1 de octubre de 1571.
