ACI Prensa, responsible for the project

Since 1989, ACI-PRENSA has been a member of the International Federation of Catholic Agencies (FIAC).

One of the most important aspects of ACI-PRENSA's work is its presence on the World Wide Web. ACI PRENSA's website, ACI Digital (www.aciprensa.com) is the most visited Catholic web page in Spanish.

ACI Digital provides daily, free Catholic news, Apologetics, Catholic resources, a biographical sketch of the day's saint, the daily readings with commentary, pro-life information, general information about the Church's structure, a search engine, and a complete directory of Catholic pages that are faithful to the Magisterium in Spanish and Portuguese.

ACI-PRENSA is the name of the Catholic Information Agency in Latin America, an organization founded by Fr. Adalbert Marie Mohm (+1986) in Lima, Peru in 1980.

ACI PRENSA has been recognized by the Social Communications Department (DECOS) of the Latin American Bishops' Council (CELAM), and the Vatican's Pontifical Council for Social Communications.

ACI Digital also delivers, by e-mail, a news service to more than 30,000 users, including the most influential Catholic radio stations, magazines, and weekly newspapers throughout Latin America, Spain and Latino communities in the U.S., Canada, and Australia.

By september 2002, our portal had been visited by some 12,000 unique visitors, a 45% boost in overall hits.
At present, the Webstat company register that most of our users come from the U.S. (40%), which means ACI Digital has become a significant source of information and Catholic material for Spanish- speaking Catholics throughout the U.S
